Pte 10100 /37859 David Cox

Tim Bell

Pte Cox enlisted in 18th Bttn on 4/9/1914, having served 4 yrs in 8th Bttn.  He was discharged sick with SWB on 25/5/1915.  He then enlisted in 96th Fd Amb, RAMC on 24/08/1915 and was discharged sick with TB for a 2nd time on 20/01/1916. He re-enlisted in 25th Bttn on 8/8/1916 and discharged sick again with TB on 26/8/1916.    There is no evidence TB was aggravated or attrib to service. 
David died from TB on 4/12/1920 and his widow Miss Shandley received a Pension.  His 1st wife was Eliza, with whom they had a daughter, Eliza.
