Pte 8039 Thomas Harrison

Pte Thomas enlisted on 28/9/1914 and served overseas with 12th Bttn from 16/7/1915.  Thomas had been a Mason and previously served for 3 yrs in 6th VB. He returned Home on 8/9/1916 and was discharged with Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema attrib to service on 13/10/1917
Thomas died on 31/1/1920, due to Bronchitis & Cardiac. Reg Q1 1920 Oldham 8d/744.
His widow Kate received a Pension. 21 Yates St, Oldham. They had 2 daughters, Edith and Ethel.
I have ordered the DC.

his records say his condition was due to exposure to gas
age 40

DC attached confirming Bronchitis and Cardio as cause of death.

We need to see if there is a headstone on Thomas Harrison's grave in Greenacres and review the condition of any inscription.
