Pte Hinds enlisted in 4th Bttn in August 1914.  He was discharged on 18/5/1915, with chronic bronchitis leading to 25% disability. 25 Long St, Ancoats. William died from Phthisis (TB) on 9/10/1920. His widow Martha received a Pension.
In March 1916 the Relief Committee had written to Chelsea stating that the Bronchitis had developed into Consumption (TB) and William had spent considerable time in a Sanatorium.  A doctor had provided an opinion that the present condition was the result of army service.
This is insufficient evidence that cause of death was attributable to service.
