Pte 3731 Nicholas Power

Tim Bell

Pte Power enlisted in 7th Bttn on 5/5/1915 and did not serve overseas.  He was discharged sick with SWB and Pension on 1/1/1917 – condition unspecified.  Nicholas died at Nell Lane Hosp from Mitral Aortic Regurgitation on 18/12/1920, aged 37.  Chorlton 8c/734. A Dependents Pension was issued.  49 Leaf St, Hulme.  Probate to his widow Mary. Nicholas had been employed as a hydraulic packer.  Buried as Philips Park B.RC.499. 1911 Census shows the couple had 4 children and Nicholas born in Dublin.
No indication if the Heart condition related to service.
