Pte Halifax (born 1883) enlisted in the Lincs Regiment 23109 on 12/12/1915  and served overseas after 1915 with 7th Lincs.  He was transferred to the Manchesters and posted to 20th and 1/6th Bttns.  John was discharged with SWB and Pension on 24/1/1919, aged 35.  His condition was aggravated by service as PSOAS Abscess – related to TB.   He died on 12/4/1920, aged 36 - cause unknown and was buried in Holbeach Cemetery on 15/4/1920.
