Sgt Leigh (born 1877) originally volunteered with the the Lancs Fusils 7656 before transferring to  the Manchesters 2928 on 7/9/1914. All his service was at Home with 4th Bttn and he had qualified as a Cook. He had become A/Sgt on 7/2/1918.  Thomas was transferred to Reserve Class Z from 4th Bttn on 19/2/1919. He had no identified illness at the time. Thomas died from Morbus Cordis, Epistaeis (not recent) and Anaemia on 7/4/1920. Widow Eliza, 12 Factory Ln, Salford received no Pension. They had no children.
