Pte 1447/275162 Arthur Joseph Fairey

Tim Bell

Pte Fairey had been a railway porter when he enlisted in 7th Bttn on 19/11/1911.  He embodied on 5/8/1914 and served in Egypt from 10/9/1914 and Gallipoli 6/5/1915.  Arthur returned Home on 17/6/1915 and was discharged on 19/7/1916 with GSW R Shoulder joint from 28/5/1915.  He received a pension for 25% disability.
Arthur died on 9/1/1920, cause not known.  His widow Mrs F Fairey received a Pension, 75 Worcester Cres, Broughton. Father Arthur Joseph Fairey, 18 Cable St, New Cross, Manchester.
