Sgt Olive died from a Gastric Ulcer in Manchester Royal Infirmary on 15/8/1920, aged 34.  Probate shows he was an Army Pensioner and club steward.  His widow Susan received £231 10s Effects and Pension. 47 The Crescent. Salford and later 355 Cleveland Rd, Middlesborough.
A James Olive '237' previously served in 5th & 2nd Bn, with a similar age.  These service records make no reference to Great War service.
No evidence the ulcer related to service. No burial identified,
