Francis was born on Middleton by Wirksworth, Derbys on 12/2/1893.  In 1911 he was an apprentice Marble Mason and lived with his parents Francis Henry and Eliza Gratton in Wirskworth .  Francis served overseas in 16th and 1/5th Bttn until he was discharged from 4th Bttn with Dementia Praecox (Insane / Schizophrenia) on 22/3/1919 (PC). He died of Disease (unspecified) on 26/6/1920 (PC).  His mother Eliza received his Gratuity and Pension at 12 Etrunia street, Longsight.  Her previous address had been Church View, Wirksworth.
We have no evidence that Francis' cause of death was related to service.
