Pte 4375 Frank Hewitt
Pte Hewitt was an Insurance Agent, resident Colwyn Bay, when he attested in the E Lancs on 18/11/1915.  He was re-enlisted for Home Service with the 6th Manchesters on 18/11/1915 and was mobilised on 1/12/1915.
Discharged on 4/5/1916. Cause n/k.
Frank died from TB on 14/11/1916 (Effects date). The Pension card notes Aggravation and has the wrong date of death as 14/10/1916.  Probably not commencing in service.
age 25
Widow Carrie received a pension at Chapel on Le Frith. Aunt, Mary Fox of 21 Egremont St, Cheetham Hill. CofE.
Note not adequate to prove Aggravation. Review when all Disability Pensions are published.

IFCP have agreed that the note of "Aggravation" on the Pension Card is now adequate to put forward this case, as Frank Hewitt served for a reasonable period in which his TB could have deteriorated.  DC to be ordered.

DC confirms TB as cause of death. This was aggravated by service. Frank Hewitt died at his home in Chapel en le Frith.

Frank Hewitt's case has been rejected for commemoration by CWGC. It seems that the goal posts have moved again and the military records need to substantiate evidence on pension awards to cards.
