L/Cpl 14730 Thomas Kelly x

Received 1914-14 Star for service with 24th Bttn. Transfer to reserve with Pension for TB attrib to service 20/3/1919. Died from TB at home 17/2/1920, aged 24. Mother Elizabeth received his Pension, 204 Radcliffe Rd, Oldham & later 8 Mainwairing St, Failsworth.
was suffering from TB
DC to be ordered.

DC confirms Martin Kelly died from TB at home.  He was a Steel Spindle Maker.

We need a burial record

Thomas Kelly is buried in St Joseph's RC Cemetery, Moston. Section : D 689. (Credit Chris @ IFCP)
We need to see if there is a headstone and review the condition of any inscription.

Thomas Kelly's case has been rejected for commemoration by CWGC
The pension record clearly states he had "Tuberculosis due to"  service and he died from this condition.  There is no evidence contradicting the statement of attributable.
