this pub was around the shude hill/oldham rd area,thats the next AVL on my list,i will be copying this on friday.
ive been promising roy that i would get him this AVL for months.

I have checked with me sister who has of my mothers papers and the pub was on George St in Hulme, Ther was an old book called pubs of Hulme and the harp and shanrock was in it it was knock down, I do not have a picture of him when young do do have one taken in 1983 at my wedding if this is any help can not insert image if someone has an email address i will send it

was the pub on the corner of george st and newcastle st,if it was,then theres a picture of the pub on the manchester library online image collection,with the landlord stood outside it,with 3 kids[taken in 1917].

yes that's the pub, i remember that picture, the young boy is Robert the last of the five children,

ime pretty certain you were right in the first place chris,the other w.clarkson wouldnt have got the star,his numbers too high.
