Hello everybody,  I found this forum quite by accident and am glad I did.  A lot of my relatives served with the Manchester Regiment in both wars.  My interests are Cap Badge collecting from early Queen Victoria and going to the Somme and surrounding areas.  We have just come back from Belgium because mainly I wanted to see the "Shot at Dawn" post in Poperinge and other places of interest including the new museum in Zonnebeke.  We also go round cemeteries looking for relatives and of course battlefields in the areas we visit.  I found a Manchester Regiment badge in a Tabac in Ypres which was a Battlefield find plus a few others,  19 in all, which I thought that some soldier wore these badges and probably never came home.
Regards to all
Chris
