Hi there,

I am hoping to take my father on a trip to follow in my grandfathers WW2 footsteps. He was in the 1st Manchester Regiment and landed on Sword Beach in 1944 shortly after D Day, and was discharged after the war ended,  in Hamburg on 6th December 1945, we think he was around Caern and then Antwerp and Aarchen.  We believe it was a mortar platoon.

Lt Leslie Barron, 304982, b 8.6.17 - d Oct 1993.

If anyone can help with more details of his units movements, I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks,

Andrew

Many thanks, he was in 12 company mortars, are they in the diaries? I will of course be delighted to donate to your charity. My email is barrontv(at)yahoo.com. Very much appreciated.

Change the (at) for @. We don't have email addresses on the open forum as this can lead
to spam.
Thank you
