during WW2 he and his wife Emily lived at 15 Portland crescent,manchester 13,he was a air raid warden and Emily was a member of the volunteer casualty service,emilys parents lived next door at No13.born 25-5-1893,he died at Baguley hospital on 22-9-1962,he and Emily are buried together along with emilys parents in southern cemetery.section S.grave 5268,they were married at st.chrysoston church,chorlton on medlock on 7-5-1923
