Peter Owen enlisted 27/8/1914 and had been wounded at Ypres on 17/4/1915 & discharged due to shrapnel wound L Arm on 8/9/1916. TB was diagnosed in 1918 not as Not Due to service., but noted as aggravated in 1919.

Widow Sarah Jane. Daughter Violet.

Death Reg Manchester 8d/209.

DC attached confirming TB as cause of death.

IFCP support the case.

We need to see if there is a headstone on Peter Owen's grave in Phillip's Park and review the condition of any inscription.

Peter Owen's commemoration was approved by CWGC today. He now has an entry in UKBOR, pending acceptance of his burial at Philip's Park Cemetery, where a new headstone should be erected.
