can any one tell me if the regiment was based in durham during word war 2.

the closest I can see to Durham is this quote :-

The (5th) battalion reorganised at Stokesley, near Middlesborough. Later to West Aukland, to Wortley in the Sheffield area and, in the autumn, to Wheatley, near Oxford. In November to Felixstowe, Suffolk. In March 1941 the battalion moved to Southend and in the summer to Orwell Park, between Felixstowe and Ipswich

my dad was one of the ardwick boys and he went to northumberland, i think it was newton village i will have to ask him
