discharged 7-5-15 with TB "due to service since declaration of War."
died at home on 17-12-16 Pulmonary TB Contracted on active service.
age 37

We need to see if there is a headstone on Walter Shawcross' grave in Gorton and review the condition of any inscription.

Walter Shawcross has no headstone at Gorton. A cherry tree is growing on his plot.
