John Sutton (Born 1883) died from Trench Bright's Disease (Kidney Condition) on 7/8/1917 (Effects and PIC), aged 34.  Reg Salford Q3 1917 8d/97. His PIC says this was contracted on A/S - Active Service.  He had contracted Nephritis with blood in the urine at Vaux in Spring 1916 - early symptoms of the condition that killed him (probably). Discharge with Pension 24/10/1916. Son of John Thomas & Rachel  Sutton. Widow Ellen Sutton, 63 Liverpool St, Salford. Son John born 15/8/1907. John Jr died in Aus and has living grandchildren.  John Snr had been a Dock Labourer in 1911 and Warehouseman in 1914.
I will apply for DC.

John Sutton is buried at Salford Weaste Cemetery.  Plot 36. Grave 95.  (Thanks to Chris Harley) We then need to see if there is a headstone and review the inscription.  Only the base of the Headstone remains. I have contact with descendents.
