Morning Charlie,
Frank is listed as L/Cpl in XII Pln, C Coy of 18th Bttn in the Book of Honour.  Also A/Sgt in 18th Bttn on BWM/VM Roll. 18th Bttn on Star Roll.  Mack found evidence showing 18th Bttn, Trones Wood http://themanchesters.org/forum/index.php?topic=8105.msg52980#msg52980

His number is also firmly in the original 18th Bttn sequence, although there a number of 10xxx men who are found elsewhere on the Roll, incl. 17th Bttn.  Possibly transferred or attached at some stage and I wonder if men attached to 90th Bgd could have been moved between Bttns?

Many men from 18th Bttn were captured at Guillemont and few from 17th, whereas more 17th Bttn men were captured at Trones.

May also be an error in ICRC record....

Thanks Tim you have cleared that up for me. I had copied and pasted a post from somewhere in the forum into word to be entered into the PoW database at later time. When entering it into the database it conflicted with the other information.
