Dear All,
I'm italian, I'm doing a big research on WW1 on Euganean Hills area - near Padua - North Italy.
There are few infos about that but I found some english documents and pictures of British Army of this area, the Head Quarter was in town near Padua-Abano such as Torreglia , Galzignano , Teolo , Praglia.
British Forces teached to italians some war technics to win on Piave Battle of 1918 and stop the war. I want to tell this to italians never read it in the Story Books at school. Also some Gordon Higlanders come in Italy.
I found some of these infos also in the book "Military Operations Italy 1915-1919" by Edmonds.
In this forum, is there someone found other infos or grandfather remembrance, photo or documents ?
PS: I found in this area some M1917 Einfield rifle cartridge and an shoulder title "Manchester Regiment" in the ground, I need to know more.
Thank you
Filippo
