ISSUED TO PTE.J.W.TAYLOR MANCHESTER REGT 377046

from the e bay site.
Can anyone tell me anything more about this man please?

his full name was john,william taylor,2/10th manchesters,afraid theres nothing else available about him sorry

 Yes, Thank you Tonyrod, that was where I saw it. My great great aunt Mary Aldred married a William Taylor and they farmed at Hollins Green-14 miles from Manchester.They had several sons and I wondered if this belonged to one of them.I will have to do some more research on them

It just so happens that another medal-for football- 4th Sect , 5th Battalion-has been photographed and sent to me today. I will put it on the relevant thread for my Grandfather John Aldred.

hi sue, spotted a good few of PTE,JOHN WILLIAM TAYLOR'S ON ancestry service records with address's  on ? but you list his name as
William TAYLOR, even more of them listed, was he at that address when he signed up?
