Hi, Just wondering if you could check the AVL's for Oldham (if you have them) for me.
I am looking for William Monks, born 1896 in Oldham. Unsure as to which regiment he served with during WWI, but one possible is this chap in the MIC's. Pte 3551 William Monks, Manchester Regt. Transferred to Pte 63513 Notts & Derby Regt.
I was wondering whether William Monks joined the 10th Battalion, since he was a local lad of Oldham.
Any help or thoughts appreciated.
The Colonel.
