Visit to Belle Vue barracks
« on: November 10, 2018, 12:51:06 AM »
My sister, nephew and I went to the barracks yesterday to pay our respects to our GGF JJ Sellers

The memorial has recently been moved from Ardwick so I took his replica medals along and some history to show the OC.  It was a great afternoon and we we made to feel really welcome.

I would love to know if there is a similar memorial for their service in Gallipoli and France

It's very pleasing  to se a photo ot the Ardwick Battalion Anglo/Boer War memorial in its new location in the barracks at Belle Vue and many thanks for sharing it with the forum.  Their casualties from WW1are commemorated on the war memorial in the park at Ardwick Green.
