Possibly, but if they did they would be Regular Soldiers and not local Volunteers like your relative.

Likely the event was one that took place local to him.

another group photo has turned up my grand father possibly 2nd fro left front row. I am happy for this to be uploaded to pictures.

This is one of the pages from the medal roll of the Manch Regt Volunteers with a Pte A March as part of the 3rd Active Service Section Manch Regt.
