Lieutenant Alastair Cowan - 1st Bn and Malayan Veteran
Sadly, after a very short illness, Alastair died, at home with his family, on 6th December. He was a Forum member and author of The 22nd Manchesters. His Father had served as a Captain in WWI with the 22nd.
Alastair had a great regard for the Regiment and recently discovered a previously unknown Crimean Memorial to the commanding officer of the 63rd. He was also instrumental in recently raising sufficient funds for the restoration of the Crimean Memorial in the grounds of Bath Abbey. His enthusiasm and interest will be missed by his many friends in the Regiment.
