Dunkirk - seeking info
« on: June 16, 2017, 11:17:35 AM »
My grandfather served with the 1st Battalion in WW1 at Ypres and later Mesopotamia and thankfully we were able to find a lot of information on his service then.

However we understand he went back to the Manchesters in WW2 and was a Sargent Major and was in the initial BEF and was evacuated on the 2nd last day at Dunkirk.
His name was Daniel O'Regan reg number 2864, which we got from his WW1 Records.

Would anyone be able to assist me in pointing me in the right direction as to where I might be able to find more info as alas he spoke very little of any of his times and my Dad now, 86 , and myself are very keen to learn more
thanks
John, Cork
