Roy.
What a great loss both to the Regiment and the Royal British Legion.  A splendid soldier and a great example to many.  There was no smarter standard-bearer on parade and he was ever-helpful in looking after his old comrades. Another proud Jungle Basher gone to ground.

RIP Alan and Alastair

As young men you were warriors
As old men you were fathers & grandfathers
As veterans you will always be respected
And to everyone who knew you, you will always be remembered

Belated apologies, only just spotted your demise Alastair - I do not recall ever having met up with you but that was often the situation in those far off days due to the distances  between Companies but you were still to be remembered so rest in Peace  and meet with your old friends and comrades again.
George.

Cliff Holland, Malayan Veteran

Cliff died in hospital last week after a long illness. He will be remembered as the driver of the Scout Car involved in the Cameron Highlands ambush of 19th June 1952.

One of Many Jungle Veterans

Jungle hot & sweaty
Hot & Dry, cold, Wet
Hard routine, cold food, no sleep
Forever scratching at your skin
Feet falling apart in your boots
But still smiling at the end
One of the few that walked in warriors footsteps.

RIP Cliff
