hi my dad was in the 9th battalion between 1942 and 1947 his name was james robert middleton his army number is 4350999 . i know he was in belgium and germany .my dad died last week aged 92 and he often spoke of his army days . i am going to get his army records when i get his death certifate back is there any other way i can find out about his army life .thanks for listening .

You will find a great deal of information about the activites of the 9th Battalion during WWII in the history Volunteer Infantry of Ashton under Lyne 1859 -1971.  This is available under Books for Sale on the museum website.
