pte robinson was at the clearing station receiving treatment for frost bite in his feet,when a shell cleared the roof off it,a short time later a second shell landed,wounding him in the head and several parts of his body,he was evacuated to hospital at rouen and then sent to sunderland royal infirmary where he recovered from his wounds,previous to his wounding,he was on duty in the front lines when he was shot at by a sniper,the bullet passed through his cap,just missing his head.
