I am a serving soldier in the Royal Artillery researching my family history, and i am requesting help from the forum.

My Grandfather 90048 Arthur Mack served in the 2nd Bn Manchester Regiment in Mesoptamia in 1920, i have found his MIC, he also had two other regimental numbers 43851 in the South Lancs and 3514079 in the Manchester Regiment, as he re-enlisted after the war.

I found a photo on the Archives at Tameside, does anybody else have any information regarding him?

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards

Liam

Liam,

On 3.3.1924 when his General Service Medal 1918 with clasp "IRAQ" was issued, the medal roll states he was serving at the Depot.

The Depot is Ladysmith Barracks, Ashton-under-Lyne.
