main site grave photos,
« on: September 10, 2012, 03:23:24 PM »
hi everyone, I have taken on the task of looking after the grave photos , that  tisgrannie  started back in 2007,  we the moderator's and the administration  team feel its time to carry on the great work tis ,started, and  we hope to see finished , that is a grave photo of every Manchester who  died and was listed and buried in a cwgc or a family plot at home, so I will be starting by trying to sort out all photos that are not grave photos, don't be offended if  I remove some they will be put in a  odd ball set , so start sending them in again, with any other information you have, but please look to see if they are not already listed.

hiya simon.
james was buried in a private grave on 25th july 1916,its not marked with a CWGC headstone, its a private headstone, the memorial inscription says,DUTY NOBLY DONE
hes listed on st.clements church day school memorial and also on st.clements church memorial,he and his brother george are named on the poplar grove roll of honour,if you google trafford war dead, there are photos of all three memorials.
