Thank you so much for recommending this site; A Land fit For Heroes? perhaps not so in Salford and Manchester. I can recall my mother telling me about the sadness and poverty that existed in Manchester post war, the unemployment etc. To read about it was very moving. I will take more time eventually and read this web site in all its details.
