albert addison manchesters world war 2

i have found out that my grandfather served with the 5th. battalion of the manchesters he served as a despatch rider.
i realy enjoy trying to research  my grandfathers old regiment. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

was in the Manchesters or attached to them as part of the Royal Corps of Signals?

I did look in the WD to see if he was named in it, I did not see is name anywhere.

he was in the manchesters he actually came from manchester as well.

my father was a despatch rider as well, he was royal signals but was attached to the 42nd div, which the 5th was part of :o)

his name is actualy in a book that is held in our local history group just gives name and rank regiment says manchester reg. this is at tow law which is 5 miles off west auckland which is where they were based during the war. he met and married my grandmother from tow law during the war.
