Amateur Soldiers - 10th (TF) BN.
« on: January 21, 2008, 02:13:49 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this book.
Its for a friend of mine originally from Oldham who has an interest in local military matters but no computer.
I know they are out of print but someone may have one to spare or one they would like to raise some cash for.

cheers

yes very disappointing isn't it. I rang the Portland Basin in Ashton they rang me to tell me what we already know that it is out of print and they don't have one.

A copy of this book is on the open shelves inTameside Local Studies and Archives and I feel sure that copies will also be in the Oldham Local Studies Library.

The author(s) of Amateur Soldiers (10th Bn) and Cotton Town Comrades (24th Bn) intend to re-publish both volumes in CD form at some time in the future.  I will keep members of the forum informed on progress.
