Second Lieutenant Donovan Richardson McCallum Smith attended St. Andrew's College from 1905 to 1907.

He was serving with the 4th Battalion, Manchester Regiment attached to the 1st Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, when he was killed in action on Monday May 27th, 1918 and is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France
