hi everyone

no luck i found the medal website confusing!!!!  :-\

thought i could just punch in his name rank and number but i dont even know where or how to do this??                               

does anyone know how to work it? all i want to find out is if his medals were handed in or are still in the public domain??

You can visit the Museum of the Manchester Regiment to see if they have the medals http://www.tameside.gov.uk/museumsgalleries/mom

or if you can't visit in person - I have emailed Garry Smith, the curator of the museum, to see if my husband's grandfather's WW1 medals are there. I got a quick response from Garry but unfortunately I am still looking for the medals. Here is his email address    garry.smith1 at tameside.gov.uk replace at with @ (altered to stop spam)
