The Manchester 22nd Bn spent the bulk of 1918 in Italy but it was very quiet until 'the crossing of the River Piave in October, 1918' - Stedmans' book the Manchester Pals quotes this.

There are no mentions of this subject in various topics on the forum.

Please can someone post a full list of the actions that involved the Manchester 22nd Bn in Italy in 1918 (including those at the crossing of the River Piave in October, 1918).  If there is an internet site(s) link this would be great!  Thanks.

Thanks Mack - my grandad could have been with Grierson as he was still in the field with the 22nd Bn. until 30th November 1918.  The date his War Service Record records that he was was 'Retained on Home Service on compassionate grounds'.
