On the 14th October 1918 this officer took over command of "D" Coy. from Wilfred Owen at Hancourt -  2nd Lt. Owen having been temporarily in command of that unit.  Is there any info. concerning his service with the battalion, please ?       PhilipG.

I note that Lt. Carroll was wounded on the 30th September 1918 east of Magny-La-Fosse and south of Joncourt.   The battalion was getting into position at that time ready for the forthcoming attack on the Beaurevoir - Fonsomme Line on the1st October.        PhilipG.
