Pte 16429 William Lockett

Pte Lockett enlisted in 4th Bttn on 11/1/1915.  He had previously served 6 years with 6th VB.
William was discharged sick on 10/4/1918, with SWB and Pension for TB of Lung which was Constitutional, but Aggravated by service.  Arrangements were made for treatment in a Sanatorium.
William died in Adelphi St, Hosp, Saolford, on 19/7/1918, from Pulmonary TB and Haemolysis, aged 47. Reg Q3 1918 Salford 8d/115. NB Service Records suggest different age.
Widow Susannah and sons Thomas & John at 26 Springfield Terrace, Springfield Ln, Salford. Pension Awarded.

William was buried in Weaste Cemetery on 27/7/1918. CofE Common Plot

We need to see if there is a headstone on William Lockettt's grave in Weaste and review the condition of any inscription. As this is a common plot, it's likely there is no headstone, so he will have a new headstone if we can gain family consent, or he will be added to the Special Memorial - which will probably require a new addendum panel. Possible contact with family members.
