Title: Side Caps
Post by: PhilipG on September 07, 2018, 11:01:44 AM
My query is about "Side Caps".    At the end of WW2, soldiers not on parade, but off duty could be seen in public wearing such caps.    These were often quite colourful in design.   Were such caps issued to the Manchesters at that time?     PhilipG.

Field Service caps for the Manchester Regiment were dark blue with no embelishments.

Did the dark blue have some historical significance?
