Title: HM Coronation Parade Kuala lumpur June 1953

I was fortunate enough to be the left guide of the Manchester Regiment contingent who represented the battalion on the occasion of Her Majesties coronation,CSM K Armitage I believe was the right guide and the contingent was commanded by Lt Farrer(Happy Days)

My memory of that day was regrettably my travelling home on the QUANTAS Coronation plane from Singapore to UK as my father was dying in Hope Hospital, Saford unfortunately he died on the 6th June 1953.
Such is life. I travelled back to the Bn by troopship full of Matelots going out to change over with the then crew of the Royal Yacht then at Singapore.Take care,
