Hi, my grandfather William Brereton is in the photo, 2nd row from rear, 3rd from left. Recognised immediately by his daughter.
All we know about his wartime service was he was wounded in a "gas" attack. No idea when or where. Would love to know more about him and his platoon? Jon

My grandfather, 12626 W T Spragg MM, back row, second from right. Wounded 02/08/1916. Awarded MM for operations near Poelcapelle on 4 October 1917, same action as Harry Coverdale, VC. Kia 27 Sept 1918, Sauchy-Lestree France, serving with the 11th Manchesters.
