Title: William John Smith Manchester Regiment
Post by: madeira066 on August 23, 2008, 09:43:27 AM
On my fathers birth certificate it states that his father in 1917 was serving in 3rd Manchester Regiment number 48466. I am unsure if this is 3rd Battalion or could it be third line TA force.
I cannot find any service records or medal card for William John Smith on Ancestry.
I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks Dave.
