Post by: Paul Dean on November 11, 2007, 08:03:54 PM
I am searching for information on my Grand Father, I belive he joined in either 1918/19 and went to Russia possible with the 1st Battalion, he at some time transferred and continued,  he left before WW2 but was recalled as an active reserve in 1939.  Any information welcome. I remember he had an Irag medel (clasp) which from you records would put him in the second Manchester

Hi Paul and Welcome  ;D

I think his service record may be in Glasgow, available to next of kin, via http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/army.html

I have the  my Grand fathers medel record and know that it is him as he does have GSM with Iraq clasp.

I am looking for some one who could repair an old photo which he had, it is taken of either Rangoon / Shanghi harbour it is about 6 inch high x 36 inches long can you suggest anyone.
