Title: Colours, Silver Drums - Oldham Civic Centre
Post by: charlie on July 11, 2019, 11:28:56 AM
Are the names engraved on the silver drums the dead of the 1/10th, 2/10th and 3/10th or just the 1/10th please.

Does anyone have photos, which I could use elsewhere, of the 2 memorial tablets commemorating the achievements of the 10th and 24th Bns?

What are the two shields at the rear of the display?

Charlie

The drums, were presented in June 1924 in memory of the three Oldham Territorial Battalions.
617 names were engraved on the drums.  Later research indicates there should have been at least 631.
